Why it matters for donors

A news site used the milder version in its headline. That headline carried the milder version.

The proof

Their statement: 9:22 AM ET, Jun 11, 2026 — Ichud Hatzalah of Israel 1221: “הרוגה ופצוע בינוני” (one dead, one moderately injured), woman “about 70”.

The record: 9:52 AM ET — MDA: man ~50 “in serious condition with burns”, woman about 80. Kikar’s share headline carried the “moderate” version while its body said “serious” and “80”.

Which is it? Whether Kikar updated its body later is unproven.
